Just want to let folks know there's a nice new Tornado T3000 in the taproom in the Peekskill Brewery (which is at the riverfront in Peekskill in northern Westchester)

There's a small group of us who play there Thursday nights, just friendly pick up games, not quite tournament level players. Maybe soon...

Cheers,
Scott

Victor - Vegas was awesome! And for me it was like going to foosball school. Plus it was warm and sunny. Remember what that feels like? Haha. I got killed in most events I entered. Apparently I'm more of a beginner than the other beginners I played that's for sure. I had a great partner for the Wednesday night dyp though, guy from northern CA named James Castillo, really cool dude, and we got fourth, made twenty five bucks. Getting knocked out of events quickly meant I had the freedom to wander around and watch matches though, which was really fun. I really enjoyed that part of it.
One highlight of that was watching Johnny Horton, Todd Loffredo, Terry Rue and some other guy playing game after game of rollerball for fun. Those guys are amazing. Particularly Terry Rue. He should have been in the rollerball event. He had it going on, crazy speed and variety on the 3 bar.

Wil - That's a good idea. Maybe between now and then I can learn about how to run a tournament.

Maybe see you guys at Fat Cat tomorrow night.

That's an awesome result with Sparkie aka James Castillo.

I have a similar story. Around 2000, it was my first or second major tournament, probably at HOFC in Vegas and I drew James in the DYP too, he was a pro at the time :) We finished pretty high, I want to say 7/8th but we took Fredrico Collignon to 3rd game 4-4 and I made the last block, but I passed the ball straight into Fred's 3 man from goal. Oops. Fred's not getting block twice in a row. Good memories.
