I gotta side with Jedi here.

The time starts when the ball enters your area, but a lot of people start their internal clock once they get the ball set up. That can be a 2 - 5 second dispairity sometimes. I can't remember who I spoke with, I think it was Robbie or Cheez? And they said most people get their roller set up around 5 seconds. That gives the shooter 10 seconds. I would think a pull shot is even deeper into the count. Same concept on the 5...most people take 3-5 seconds just to corral the ball and begin the toss.

I'm sure if we did start using clocks, there would be "time" calls nearly every game, especially on the 5.

That said, I doubt anyone wants to ref time all night long. It's not a regular problem. I know I get questioned on my 3 bar here and there - I just make a mental note to not go too long. On the few times someone has called a ref on me, there has never been a call go against me.

It's not a problem at Bonfire, but if anyone feels they are being cheated, please let me know.

Yes you do METRO BITCH.. I've watched you before at Ecks, and BC's many times. And for the record i do have a Foos Ref.. That's how i know BITCHES.. i have trained my inner clock..plus i play music, and I know the drums.. So i know how to count out a drum beat in the head,, thus un like YOU, I have spent some good years in front of a metronome.

if you reach 13 on any rod count, then you are fucking close, especially the 5 rod, and if you reach 13 on the other rod counts, then about 3 heart beats later its 15 seconds, which BTW is the expired number, since 16 is beyond the COUNT on a foos ref...
SOOOO technically 14 seconds is all the time you have on the front 3 and goalie..
and also, 9 seconds is all you have on the 5 row.. because 10 is the expired time by 1 second... Sooo if i count to 13 on your 5, THEN YOU ARE TAKING TO LONG, if i count to 18 on the other rods, THEN YOU ARE TAKING TO LONG... And that's giving 3 seconds of space time for any human error on the count..one inhale and exhale later, you just hatched a Chicken egg, because you took to long sitting on the ball..

Fuck off David! You don't know and I've never been called for a time violation the rare times I've had a ref. I know X is your groupie but ask him and Knappy about whether a ref is needed for me. Now X will tell you that I whine too much but I find it odd that he hasn't told you already on this board right now. This is why I ignore you and I'm officially back to that status. Dumbass!

I've never noticed Jim taking too long on any rod (insert dirty joke here). If Jim needs any kind of ref, it's a ref to keep him from whining. I can only think of two people who are occasionally guilty of taking too long. One is a rookie and the other is an amateur, and they're both cool, so I doubt it would be an issue.
Oh, and old man Tony maybe...but he doesn't count.
