I don't think anybody is really giving anybody else a guild trip here.

Pretty simple you can't make people give they're money to something they don't believe in. That's our right as Americans! I will not be there this weekend and I don't hate the USA! LOL

I would like to say that I agree with Scott about him saying it's a vacation.

I'm sure this weekend will be a hit with the Team USA fund raising efforts.

His heart had turned cold and black years ago. All pleas for compassion simply stuck to the tar and hate that pumped through it…

Roger - I thought I was pretty darn clear on what my opinion was and why I was not going this weekend. I’ve avoided all kinds of tourneys, including States, when I didn’t agree with them. Not a big deal. I’ve told them in person, and they get it.

95% not going because it’s lame to ask people to pay for your foos hobby
5% not going because I’m tired of being pistol whipped by Boogie.

Like I said before, I love all foosers, and hope Team USA kicks butt out there!

So we were a little short on teams, only 12, but over full on fun!

Results:

1st. Roger/Bruce $160.
2nd. Boogie/EA$80
3rd. CJ/JFT $40
4th. Slice/Father Time $20

My million peso three bar arm finally showed up to play. Tony was a rock in pits! We lost to Roger and Bruce 5-4, 5-4 with me having a shot to win the first game and two to win the second. I couldn't talk Bruce out of my way. We lost to Boogie/EA 4-5, 5-4, 7-5. Tony hit the most nasty bank to win the first game.
Great playing to the finalists! It was an honor sharing the field of battle with you!

Jedi's van was in the parking lot, but Jedi was not in the tourney. It's not what people think. The bank parked it there to remind me of the collateral I risk losing if I balk on my loan. Speaking of which, I lied about the $200 pot sponsor. It was only $180. My bad.

Today is going to be awesome! Let's rock the house and raise some money!

Thanks Tony! How are we going to break the news that you dumped Nick for AD at State?

This is pretty last minute, but does anyone need a partner for the expert doubles event at 1 today?

There were some foosers last night that showed up looking for a partner so I'm sure the same will be true today. Just head on over!

Yes, there are already people looking for partners including Jedi.

Don't forget, free breakfast for players as our way of saying thanks!

Hope to see everyone here.

Slice good playing! Sorry foco couldn't make it down, 3 of us are getting ready for Vegas! 😃👍 I thought there would be some drama to talk about in finals?! No 3-peat, R and B stepped up must have been a good battle?

Me and EA met with the board members of the BAMF corporation. (Bad ass mf'ers). We held an emergency meeting to discuss Rogers post on the board (requesting the pot be split up between 6 top teams, $50 each.) After much discussion, we, and the board- came up with the conclusion that this post meant that Rogers fighting spirit had been broken over the last 5 defeats, and that something needed to be done. Further analysis revealed that the team of BJ/Roger was one of the few teams left that have the desire to win, and that losing that fire after a 6th defeat could actually change their course forever. Rogers frail post suggesting a 6 way split broke everyone's heart, and the decision to share the glory was made. Everyone wins.

Woop Woop!

Wow let me just say great job Team USA putting on this fun event this weekend! Jerry, Pat, Heather, Dan, Shelly, awesome! Who else, oh yeah Cindy, Tommie, Justin, way to go! To take the time to set up the event and select just the right trophies, and run the event, including prepping the tables for perfect play, incredible. Darn it, old age setting in, I know I'm forgetting something, somebody......

Oh no I'm not!

Traci Brubaker! What a totally amazing job with the food and treats! When I saw the stash of goodies being brought in,and then the bagels and cream cheeses and fruit for breakfast, and finally the enormous supply of pasta, meatballs, salad, and breads for Saturday's dinner, I realized this wasn't just something thrown together. The time you and your helpers took to bake all these treats, fudge, cookies, and brownies, and make this dinner had to be off the charts! The food sure was and our appreciation definitely was! World Class from a classy lady! You rock.
See I get it now, you were not just asking for money, you were putting on an event and I was glad to be there with support, but this is not about me it's about all of you. I take my hat off to you and give you a standing ovation. Job well done Team USA, and I know all of the foosers there feel the same! And I'm pretty sure quite a few bar patrons that bought Saturday night's dinner too! Take a bow! You all deserve it!

PS....I've got extra dollars floating around so bring those goodies to BC's on Friday! I still gotta try the cookies and fudge!

Gym is actually right...It was a fun event...seemed well-organized, and the snacks and dinner were very nice. It was cool to meet Cindy, and compete against her. I regret forgetting to try the peanut butter fudge, and forgetting to grab some swag from Eul on the way out. Had a lot of fun sliding points for Dustin in Expert Doubles...until CJ & BJ spoiled the party. Special horn-tooting to one of my pupils from the Dish Dojo (Skum) for playing well, and taking down 3 world champs. Thank you, Tink, for pitting for him, and showing him how to be a badass goalie!

Thanks everyone!

Oh and Jerry Todd and I had a grueling!!
Match in our 1 ball final.

It was truly a grueling long drawn out 5. Ball match.

I eeked it out.

I didn't want to say anything on Patrick's official Results post cause that was an awesome post!

Hopefully this doesn't come across as me tooting my own horn.

Hey Jerry kicked my butt in singles .
