TEST FAILED!

I tried to show my support for this fundraiser event but I'm sad to say that it is not in the stars for me in this event.

Foosers: I asked you if you'd play in Friday's OD if there was a pot to play for, maybe even half the pot. Replies, basically non-existant. Scratch my plan to sponsor a pot of up to $200 to get you out to play! (ask any tournament director if my follow through is good when I do this)

Team USA: I posted ,and bumped twice, a partner search for two events, a minimum of $25 of my money for your cause, plus $7, and whatever other generosity I would gladly throw in. (Many foosers, tournament directors, and friends can vouch for my record regarding the last part of my statement). Not one reply in over 500 views, especially by any Team USA member, even after a staunch non-supporter, posts a slam. (don't worry X, I get your dry sense of humor and our foos banter, so no offense). In general business, when you ask a sponsor for money, Never leave them hanging when they are ready to jump on board. Imagine a golf tournament throwing a Pro-Am, and not providing a Pro for a money paying Am sponsor. My word of advice to the team is don't only make a presence to your peers when you need money.

Good luck in your endeavors this weekend. I still hope it is successful for you.

Jim, I read, and re-read your posts, and I didn't really get the gist you were going to donate a $200 pot to bring out players.

It kinda read like you wanted Team USA to give up some of their donations for a pot.

The point was to first see if a cash pot was involved would foosers show up. I suggested half the pot. Why would it matter who supplied the money? If even a few more responded that they would show up, then I would follow with my idea for support and monetary input. JFT and I spoke about it. If I would've had one response back for a partner, then since I would've gone I would've posted my cash pot sponsorship for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place money based off of participation. I'm not just gonna tell you I'm throwing in up to $200 for 6 teams to show up.

Jim,
I want to apologize for you feeling offended that you did not receive a response personally by me to your request for a partner. I am sorry, it was an honest faux pas as I did not think to reply that most likely I will not be playing at all due to other obligations while also being of assistance at said tournament. It was not an intentional slight toward you as a person/potential sponsor.

P.S. I normally would have apologized to you privately, however, you expressed your concerns publically, therefore, warranting a public reply.

P.S.S. A reminder to other potential sponsors who also don't have partners lined up but want to participate, as indicated on the flier, there will be opportunities like Open Singles, One Ball, and if time allowed, a four on four event with teams historically put together last minute.

Jim, don't punish Team USA just because no one wants to take you on as a partner.

That's a tough bullet for anyone to take.

You are talking to a guy who has won bc's lately. Also- I asked him if he wanted to play, but by that time he had already been ignored on the thread and changed his mind, which I don't even blame him for. He asked the advice or input of Scott, Dustin, miller and daniel- none of whom replied.

No one asked me anything, so I was waiting for one of you guys to chime in.

Jim, Thanks for your good intentions towards the Foos family.

I can vouch for Jim's generosity in fund raising events personally.
Some years ago we had a fund raiser for a woman's shelter I was helping at the time.
Jim's generous giving alone was in the neighborhood of $500- $1000.
Jim was the largest one person or company money raiser in that whole fund raising event.

I'm not saying this to , toot, Jim's generosity horny.

I'm saying this as a witness that when he says something. He follows through!

Jim I hope you change your mind and come out to this event, even just to socialise.

Whatever you do this weekend I know your mind will be on Foos even if it's just a tiny bit,
Hey after all your a Fooser.

So Victor from Kuwait will be there this weekend, surely we can get a good turnout, if not for the Support of the USA team, then for the Love of Foos, or the food or whatever you enjoy doing at Foos tourney's.

Thanks to all who help put this event on.

Scott, your pathetic! We both know there have been times you needed a little charity in way or another also.
I can assure you I WOULD NOT be going to Europe if it wasn't for foosball, and just like every other tournament, we fly in go to the venue and fly out. BUT if any one stays for a vacation, where do you get the idea it comes out of the funds raised?
Last year was the first year of team fund raising, and thank God, cause I have spent well over 10k to support team usa over the years. Not to mention how much money I have thrown at local tournaments over the years, you've never seemed to mind that charity have ya? Why don't you quit your Drivel and help bring this sport into prime time, instead of sucking off the rear tit all the time, or at least shut your pie hole.

I'm pretty sure we all know who I'm partnering up with this week.

Does USA MEAN nothing to people anymore?

Myself and BJ were in the finals against Tony Bacon and his partner at Colorado State, for the right to go to the World Championships, we lost.

That would be even better than winning world championships in my opinion.

But to see that people really don't like to support Team USA, is a bit dissapointing.

Sure they get to travel to a European Country. There's jet lag, dealing with language barriers and a host of other obstacles they have to deal with.
When your there your representing not just yourself, but a Country.
It does mean something to these Men and Women to go to the World Cup!!

So yes I ask if there gonna be there and yes I give them a bit of ribbing cause there not at the local tourneys.
But every one of them that represents the USA!!

LOVES the USA, I believe anyway.

So if you don't like the US with all of its Freedom, THEN PLEASE. FEEL FREE TO GET THE F_ _ _
OUT!!!!!

OH AND HAVE A NICE DAY!

It’s a vacation because you’re not working, and you’re taking time off to travel and do something you enjoy - That’s the definition of vacation! Lol

If you guys were serious about raising money, you’d do more than collecting 100% entry fees and baking. That’s like girl scouts sitting at the front of King Soopers. Lazy!

Look at all the skilled professionals we have at our disposal. Offer some sweet deals on home improvement projects and the proceeds go to charity. Mega bucks compared to $5 brownies.

Throw a poker tourney like they did for CO HOF.

Have one of the many awesome artists we have design a badass foos shirt, and sell it.

Throw a bowling tournament where everyone can have fun so the charity dollars is more of an entertainment expense.

Do a BBQ competition with a $20 buy in for pitmasters and $5 for everyone to eat and judge.

Have Joe Rhodes, Ryan Moore, Robbie, Todd, Tony etc sell their badassnes in OD for CO State (or other tour events) to the highest bidder, and proceeds go to Team USA. Megabucks. I know I would be down to bid $200 to play with a few of them in CO State...and I'm sure others would bid way more. But they would have to sacrifice one tourney's results for that.

When we were raising money for Ditto’s dad…I offered $50 per person for anyone who could help me move, and people did, and I was able to donate a lot.

Get creative.

Don’t just say “hey, give us your money over and over again so the same people can keep going to Europe.” That’s what is weak to me. If you guys want money – work for it. Give up something. It’s not like we’re donating to cancer or a real charity here….so yeah…there needs to be a little more on your side. If that’s pathetic…whatever.

Still love you!

Okay everybody, a quick thank you to Traci, Roger, Scott, Boogie, Tommie, Shelly, etc.
I've received some texts or calls and have just been able to check the board during a busy work day that is still going on. I should be home in a half hour or so and will address some things then. Please stay tuned.
