That's great if they come to BC's. There's just an enormous gap in the mindset between casual foosers and even rookies.
I really am not trying to be negative if anything, I am pro-404 new players.
We've seen a lot of "I'm the best fooser I know" people hit BCs and never come back again...because that type of competitive environment just isn't for everyone. A lot of boulder players never made the jump to tour player...but there's always a few that do...and those are the players we need.
We need beginner tourneys to stay beginner so we keep an inflow of gups into the sport. Just a difference in philosophy I guess. Don't want to argue.

That's odd, I don't remember an America's tourney that ever finished by 11 PM. Dayum I'm so mis-informed. Thanks for shedding some light.

I was #1 in points at Americas last year, very closely contested by , one Bruce Wayne Jones!
And I still made a lot of tourneys at the 404. Not bragging, just stating the truth. I'm sure there were players who probably won more of the tourneys than I did. But I was in the top four almost every tourney.
I still managed to get to 404's tourney.
The guys that started that tourney are still there running it now.
One of the main guys who started running the tourneys is still there. Dave Torelli, he has kept this tourney going under plenty of adversity. Through remodeling of 404, to breaking his hand or wrist. The tournament at 404 is very unique, in that it starts late and is single elimination.
When your a Pro player or an Elite player they recognize that and ask questions and are hungry to learn. They treat Kane like a God of sorts. Hey after all Kane is an amazing player!
Colorado , home to the two best players ever to play the game.
