I've used 4.5-1.5 for a few 7 team/player tournies. It is a little bit more pt value but it works. Next year I may tweak pt values for 1st to all be real close to .625.

Right now I am using...........

8 teams/players 5/8=.625 5-4-3-2= 4 players get pts
7 teams/players 4.5/7= .642 4.5-3.5-2.5-1.5=4 players get pts
6 teams/players 4/6= .666 4-3-2=3 players get pts
5 teams/players 3/5= .600 3-2= 2 players get pts
4 teams/players 2.5/4=.625 2.5-1.5= 2 players get pts

I don't reward 1pt to any team/player.

Jesus Christ Boo, cant you or anyone get the story straight?
Its not me that anyone needs to be cautious about, im easy going for the most part, its the northern force that watches over me, and defends me from those that have ill intention's towards me, those are the ones that need to worry..

Personally for all to know, I actually fear the Northern Force, ive come to learn and understand that its "will, so to speak" is neutral in nature, it not good, or bad, the force offends, and defends as it sees fit to, but one thing for sure, the force defends me, like a guard dog defending its master when the master is attacked, and thus, the force of the North is no different, for the proof is found in the history since the Study Hall era, and every arena after that with the exception of The Bit, because no one durning the life of that arena caused me any negative force against me durning my domination at that location.
Soooo, there was no need for the force to intervene and strike back!

That is the first and only time so far that has happened!
