Greetings!

My girlfriend and I are looking to jump into the Colorado Foosball Tourney scene. I've read many threads on this forum but I can't seem to find a breakdown of the local tournaments. I'm hoping you guys will illuminate the subject.

How many regular tournaments are there?

Where/when are they held?

Who do I contact to get involved?

Are the rules standardized?

Could I bring more of my foosball buddies?

I look forward to meeting you guys. Game on!

I don't know if some of the non-Denver tourneys are up to date, but the Attic/America's/BC's ones are, and those are the best places to play.

BC's gets the biggest turnouts, with the toughest players...I would get there early to play lots of pick ups, before the actual tourney.

You can bring as many fooser buddies as you want, but you might want to prepare yourself for the level of competition in "real" tournaments. It can be a little crazy when you're first exposed to it, and 99% of newbies never come back :-P

Here's a great link to rate yourself:

Welcome to CO Foos! Everyone here is pretty nice, but we can get out of hand with trash talk.

If I may suggest, go to The Attic on Monday night and play in the beginners tournament.
You can see how you stack up before playing some of the other tournies.
Davin can also evaluate your games and make recommendations.

It's a start anyways...welcome to CoFoos.

Don't be a weakburger!

Hit America's or BC's this week and get your welcome to CO foos beatdown!

PS - seriously...you won't learn shit at beginner tourneys other than bad foosball.

Bob's tourney runs on Tuesdays, but if you let me know when you'll be around I can probably muster up some foosers to come jam.

Scott it seems like they have never played tourneys.

He's asking if the rules are standardized and if he can bring friends

My tourney on Mondays would be a good place to start

Correct. I host a Foosball Night each week, but I have yet to play a public tournament. Going off of the 'Rank Yourself' page linked earlier, I'm somewhere between 900-1000. My girlfriend is probably around 800.

I don't mind getting smoked by a superior player. Combined with regular practice, it's gotta be the fastest way to learn.

Hell yeah - then you should definitely hit up BC's then!

It will be the fastest way to get better since there are so many badasses there to talk to. Everyone loves helping.

If you add up all the players going regularly to America's, Attic (Tuesdays), BC's, and Bobs, I would say there is:

1-2 players 2000 or above
2-3 players 1800
3-4 players 1500
Most others 1200 (Jedi, for example)
A handful of 1000's and 9000's

There are a few 1800-2000+'s around that rarely show at these events.

Most players at these events would rate themselves at least one level above what they really are.

I am one of the 50 or more 1200's out there.

Why don't some of the rest of you reading this rate yourself and I will tell you is you are correct or not.

Why don't you rate me and tell me who you are and I will rate you. That is the best way to get accurate results.

I got this.

You played with Kane Gabriel, seasoned tour 3000+ player.
I played with Nick Toenjes, local 640 point beginner.

We squashed you, so I'm gonna say-

City= 900 points
Boogie= 5100 points

Woop Woop!

Just kidding bro. If you didn't score 4 out of the back in the first game, we would have 2 straighted you. So, let's play a bc's soon- X and Baller will just hand over the money in the parking lot at 7pm, and have a second chance BYP after we leave.

Maybe I should just play bc's with Kruz so he can start out his tourney experience with a first place at bc's....
