Common sense says one or the other? Single elimination in elite and open singles? Double elimination in women's open and amateur singles? Get rid of the bias factor, or any chance of it. Most respect should go to the higher ranks.

Yeah the format is stupid for OS. Single elimination, 2 out of 3, 2 out of 3, and if you split those another 2 out of 3 win by 2 in third game unlimited.

It's neat to monitor the status of the "matches in progress" while watching the video on the pit tables, to see how much time passes before the match actually starts.
