OK, we have a chance for something really special here in NYC.

Tuesday June 4th, 2019 at the Kicking & Screening Film Festival the Foosballers Documentary will be premiering at the Scandinavia House (58 Park Avenue New York, NY, 10016, at 38th St) at 7:00pm.

Foosballers tells the quirky and heartwarming story of a group of professional athletes the world doesn’t know exists: professional table soccer players. Through an ensemble cast, this film explores a never-before-seen piece of American history and shares the stories of players around the country as they prepare for the sport's most prestigious event, the World Championships.

Tickets (link has 15% off discount) $17

Dinner and a Movie at Scandinavia House is $35

After the movie, we'll have a DYP at Fat Cat starting at 10:30pm.

There are a lot of things in the works. Special, special, special guests. Added prizes. I'll post as I can confirm.

This could possibly be the sickest local draw I've ever heard of. It's going to be a late night, I'm warning you now. If you like foosball you need to be at this event.

Fine Print

If we have
8-10 teams - first round of losers 1 game to 7
10-15 teams - first and second round of losers 1 game to 7
16 or more teams, it'll be a Single Elimination.

And possibly seeding for elites and up.

this may change as needed.

Also, it's a good opportunity to bring a friend or family member that doesn't understand your obsession with foosball!

It's confirmed that Tony Spredeman, Robby Mares and Todd Loffredo are coming. Unbelievable. These are the top foosball players on the planet coming to NYC.

Ok, here's an update.

I'm not sure who's doing the dinner and a movie at the Scandinavian House, I AM NOT, it was only a suggestion, so make plans accordingly. I think I might be going out to dinner before hand so contact me directly if you're interested.

And now drumrolll please......

I Love Produce (Jim and Neil) has kindly added $500 towards the pot for the tournament. I think that'll be first place prize. I'm working on getting more prize money, so it's only going to go up.

There's lots of interest in the movie so if you plan on going get your tickets now! I got mine yesterday. The director believes it will be sold out.

It's coming soon.

It is confirmed that I Love Produce is co-Sponsoring the DYP with $500 added to the prize pool for the DYP. This is going to be an awesome event. Victor and Wil have done so much on terms of establishing a foosball scene in NY and I think that this event is fitting for what they have contributed and what NYC foosball community has given to the sport.

After much struggle I decided to make this a no 2 pro draw. All specialty draws will be pushed to the following Tuesday.

Also there will be prize for 2nd,3rd and 4th places. Maybe more depending on turn out.

The movie is almost sold out. There might be 1 ticket left.

First off, the movie was awesome. I wanted to see more foosball, but I guess it's better if it's geared for non-players, which is better for the sport. It was amazing to have Tony, Robby and Todd in the crowd and the QA.

As for the tournament after, that was insane. 32 teams! We started late and finished very very late or super early depending on how you look at it. A lot of out of towners made the trek for the day which was unbelievable. Props to Robby Mares and Tom for the big score. We had over $1000 in payouts.

First I need to thank Jim and Neil from I Love Produce for sponsoring the tournament. You guys are awesome and I consider you guys part of the NYCFoosball.

Then I need to thank Fat Cat for giving us the space, time and the late night, you guys are incredible.

Everybody that help moved tables and set up, Tom, Danny and Jakub. Thanks guys.

Props to Chun, Chris and Rob, who helped run the tournament.

It's a lot of work behind the scenes, which gives me more appreciation for guys that run larger tournaments. Ok, I'm really tired. Maybe we can do this again next decade.

Foosball is alive and well in NYC.
