2017 PA State Review

First off I'd like to thank Ray for putting this together. I can't imagine the work and commitment it takes to put one of these on. As far as I'm concerned Ray was the star of the show. I can only hope he'll continue this tournament as a tradition. Thanks Ray, Chun and Mary for running the show.

3rd Amateur Doubles - Maryam / Stephen Bell


All I can say is, Rob is a beast. He'll fight to the end even if I can't complete a pass for 5 games. He's not afraid of anybody. I think he was angry we didn't beat Tony in Open Doubles. Maybe if he continues to play with me I'll learn a thing or two from him. Amazing.

Ellen... Congrats on an awesome weekend.

Sean you're a beast. When you make the finals of both Expert events...

I'm not sure what happened in the Beginner events, but shout out to Jonathan for braving a strange new world we all live for. Either you loved it or hated it. I'm excited to you gave it a chance.

I love playing foosball in NY. I think I might start training again. Allen I'll need your help.

Well organized tournament .. Thanks Ray and supporting cast.

Gotta second the props to Ellen .. Placed in the money in 6 out of 12 events she entered.
With 2 first place finishes. That's a lot of foosball playing.
I partnered up with her in Pro Doubles and I'm proud of our 7/8 place finish. Our 2 losses were to the 2nd and 3rd place finishers.

Thanks to Forest for 3rd place finish in Expert Doubles. Would have liked another shot at Sean & Ellen, but unfortunately couldn't get past Derek Brown & Kristin Grogan.

On at least 4 occasions this weekend, just as with every other tournament, when I was asked who you playing with? and responded "Victor", the reply is always "ohhh nice.. he's a beast"
Yeah .. cause can pass and score on anyone. Haven't seen any other Pull Shooter that can read a defense like he can. The key for Vic is always a fair share of rest and fresh beer. The 4th place match which went to Game 5 could have easily been ours. And the match after that (3rd Place) would have been against a team we beat earlier in Open Doubles. Which would have only left Spredeman and Loffredo/Moore.

Finally .. huge props to Kevin Kim !!! He started out a little tight, think it was just nerves. But, he warmed up and turned on Beast Mode the 2nd half of AD. We had a tough tough match against Allen Heard & Jerry. Pulled out the win on 3rd game meatnut. In the finals I turned over the offensive reigns to him. Knowing we'd fair better that way against Allen & Gus. Allen's 5 Bar defense is always tough and scoring on Gus is no easy matter, either. Kevin handled it with true grit and spirit. well done.
