This is such sad news. I knew her in my first foosball venture back in the late 70's. My brother, friends, and I would frequently go after work and play foos at her and Kevin's place Foos Alley. R.I.P. Tina. You will be missed by all of those that you have touched so dearly. Condolences to your friends and family.

That is sad.
Her aunt Pauline posted on FB that she had a rare form of lung cancer that had spread to the brain and was in stage 4 when they found it, two weeks before Christmas. |

damn, that sucks. i met her as tina rhoton when i first started playing in the early 90's. she and smithers were the last people to effectively run foos leagues here in the metro in the mid 90's. always a fierce and capable competitor, and a sweetheart away from the table.
good bye tina, the foos community will always miss you!

Wow .... I am Shocked and Saddened :(
I have to partly credit Tina for my first world title in 1999.... although Scott ( Fooser X ) was a big part of it .... scouting out all the players we were about to face in upcoming matches .... and took notes and watched them play to give us an advantage all the way to the finals ...... It was a 5 minute pre-call for us to the pit table for the final match.... for the title ..... and I was sick to my stomach from eating all the shitty / greasy garbage food in the hotel foos ballroom ( and maybe a little bit of nerves ) .... and I was sitting on the steps to the control booth / Stage Talking with Tina and Cindy Head ... and I told Tina that I am up in 5 minutes to play for the title .... and I am sicker than a dog.... and lo and behold .... she pulls out a container of Tums out of her purse .... and said .... chew a few of these ..... and you'll be ready to go in no time!!..... and by the time we served the first ball ... I was feeling much better ... and helped me win the title.
She will be missed
Greg

It is always with such sadness of tears to hear of the losses we have in the Foos world year after year. ♥♥♥Dear Tina Rhoton♥♥♥, "you will always be missed by all you have touched throughout your life. And may the memories we have of you never fade from the great love we have for you! Jedi wept
Note to Colorado.... We have had many fallen warrior's in the world of Foosball. But I believe that the loss of Tina is the second loss that is from our home state, and from the old school era, Gill Jackson being the first. I elect that a memorial tribute tournament event be established and set annually once a year in honor of Tina. Perhaps the weekend before or after her known birthday. Have an annual event in honor of Gill as well. Or hold one memorial event once a year in tribute to all fallen warrior's of our Colorado state Maybe also have a memorial wall set in America's with pictures and plaques JediR.O.T.N.
