Regarding the question of whether there is a tournament tonight, the bar is open, but we still need to make a decision of whether to have the tournament or cancel. We're checking with the regular players to see if they want to brave the weather to play tonight.

So I think the status is basically to wait until our normal start time and see who shows up. I'm planning to be there, and I've heard a few others may come, but it will be a smaller turnout for sure, so don't know yet if it will be a tournament or just pick up games.

I recommend against driving down from Denver today, due to the combination of uncertainty about the tournament and hazardous road conditions.

We did have a tournament, but as expected, it was a lower turnout.

4 teams

1st: Bart/Jen
2nd: Curt/Steve
3rd: Mark/Roger
4th: Chris/Vic

Hey Scott, thanks for the defensive tips you gave me last Friday. I tried doing what you said, adding more crossovers and using both of the 2-bar men, and it worked really well last night.

By the way, we just got news that the bar is changing ownership, and we'll most likely need to pull the foosball tables out. Next Tuesday might be our last tournament in the Springs, until we find a new venue to host it.

Sounds like next week it is. I'll most likely be going down. If anyone from Denver wants to carpool let me know.

I'll be leaving Arvada at 6 to head down to the springs. Who's in?

Cool. See you tonight! And just as a reminder, it is a DYP, not a bring. I fully expect to see you in the cash.

Anybody who wins with Garrett as a forward has to be a boss goalie! :)

Hahaha!

In the match against us, Jim blocked everything. He was totally in Rudnicki's head, blocking him more times than I could count. Plus he kept out some crazy slop, and scored points from the back. It was an impressive performance.

Yeah Sherm had to acquire those skills while totally carrying Ross to a Pro ranking; otherwise Ross would be the rank amateur that we see playing on Friday nights any more!

Sounds like a typical dominating performance at forward there..
This is why Tornado is considered a Forwards table....lol
