Thank you for asking about the Balloon Inn Monday Night Rookie DYP Foosball tournament, Master Jedi.

I am the Tournament Director (TD) for the Rookies on Monday nights. I ran the Westminster Pinky's Wed DYP and the Colorado State Championships for almost a decade in the late 1980's and early 1990's. I took over the State Championships from Mike and Kathy Warman. I stopped promoting foosball when I went to engineering school in the mid 1990's. Shelly Langley took over the State Championship after I stopped doing it. I have been a certified Pro Official and have refereed matches worth over ten thousand dollars. I have been ranked expert, but am currently sandbagging at amateur.

(And I still have ALL of the old charts and tournament sheets for those years!)

Brian (Kid Thunder) is the TD for other foosball tournaments on other nights of the week at the Balloon Inn. He has an OPEN DYP on Wednesdays and an OPEN Singles on Saturdays. Brian is the current Expert Doubles State Champion, along with his partner Tommie Bagley.

I hope to see you soon at the Balloon Inn for some of our foosball promotions.

I really like your singles game, you are a fine player. I watched some of your matches at State this year. You don't waste any time.

i remember Mike and Kathy Warman.. The original 1st T.D.'s of the State that I can remember.. That was the time and era when i played at the Lamp Lighter in Littleton, when Tom Spear ranked me as an Expert, also the time that i started my writings about the game, and mapped out diagrams on a Tornado Table.. That was my first legitimate ranking as a player, I've never been ranked as a beginner, rookie, or an Amateur..lol

personality i don't believe in Ranking or the point system for Ranking.. Its what i would say obsolete, its the same with the 5 dollar entry.. Very low grade IMPO, especially after almost 40 years..

I guess that's why your paying 100.00 out of your own pocket, to justify the times with the game..

Nick, I'm confused here so correct me if I'm wrong but weren't you and Dustin playing an Amateur event when you beat a so called 'stacked team' at a TSK warmup event using IFP points to determine rankings?

So they would've had to have been ranked as amateur or lower. Hmmmmmm.
