Hey everyone this is Phil Peros out of LA, A newbie player friend of mine (Chris Acosta) that plays out of Public House in Hollywood is also in the entertainment industry and wrote a Comedic Drama based on the happening in recent past history of Detroit with Foosball as a backdrop theme of the show (like The League uses Fantasy Football to tie it's comedy together). Following is a link describing the show that he pitched to HBO: http://detroithopecity.com/Chris told me that Right now he's in the semi final round for HBOs Project Greenlight contest. The top 5 go to the finals based on votes from the public, so he needs to get it out there. Then HBO picks the winner of the top 5. Anyway, if you'd be interested in seeing Foosball on an HBO Comedy Sitcom click into here and give Hope City a vote: https://www.projectgreen...ntest/nominees/hope-citySimply put, "Hope City" is a comedy about foosball players in Detroit, Michigan, but it’s more than that. Set in 2008 during the presidential election, Hope City absurdly ties real events that took place in Detroit to the world of competition foosball. Not unlike Forrest Gump’s journey through the 1960s, through their love of foosball, six friends stumble upon a connection to everything from the Nancy Kerrigan - Tanya Harding scandal and the Detroit Lions infamous 0-16 season, to the arrest of their Mayor, Kwame Kilpatrick. If anyone knows any other Fooz Sites that might like this please feel free to post this there......thanks

How did the Harding scandal from 1994 make it into a show featuring 2008?

Originally Posted by: 777 How did the Harding scandal from 1994 make it into a show featuring 2008? Hey everyone. Glad to answer any questions. So in Hope City, one of the many things that is revealed by our characters, is that Jeff Gillooly and Shawn Eckhardt, who masterminded the attack on Nancy Kerrigan, turn out to have been Foosball players who were in the Cobo Center in Detroit that day because there was a foosball tournament going on along side the figure skating national championship warm ups. The "blunt object" they used to attack her with turned out to be the missing 5 rod from table 13. The main characters expose the 3rd attacker, who was never caught, at a tournament in 2008. Please let me know if you have any more questions! c h r i s

Being a fooser, I would like to support your cause but I am not on Facebook, so is there another way to vote?

Even though we are all sharing using social media, technically, the only way to actually vote is through the Project Greenlight website. Phil posted the link above. You can also get to it through the Hope City website if you feel like learning more about the show. Here are both links. Please share! https://www.projectgreen...ntest/nominees/hope-cityhttp://detroithopecity.comThanks again. Keep the questions coming! c h r i s
