Jedi's All Around Singles event:
Maybe to set a milestone, I just might start a W.T.F. tournament in Greeley that would include a 3 table event, playing on a Warrior, Tornado, and Fireball table for some versatility in ones game...perhaps have a $20 dollar entry, and hold a Jedi singles event.
All around points race. The top player that has the most points that clears the rest wins the all around event..
Run the event by drawing out of the hat what table players play on, and do the same draw for the type of ball played on each table.
You play one game as a match, the game points are kept track of.
When everyone plays out the first round of singles, then draw doubles is the next round, one game is played with your first partner. When the second round of doubles is done, then goalie war is the next round, keep track of points...if you have won 3rounds so far that's 15 points..
The event is played 9 rounds, 3 single rounds, 3 double rounds, 3 goalie war rounds..if you have won all 9 rounds, that would be 45 points
Every round is drawn out, Table, ball, partner,( only in a doubles round ) and what player you play against.
The 10th round is played out in singles for the ties in points, if there is any!
If 2 players, 3 or 4 tie for top points ,they play out a 1game singles round, and the last 2 winning players play out one last singles game. Winner takes 1st.. the event pays out for first and second only, 3rd place if agreed by players..
Its a very simple format, and it goes quick because you only play one game in each round.
Also there is "NO elimination in this event, you always get to play each 9 rounds. The idea is to be the top player in points, Playing 1 game for 9 or more rounds, 3 singles, 3 doubles, 3 goalie war.. And a few more rounds of singles to weed out the other players till the last two for the finals pay off.
A 10 player event would be $ 200.00 at $20 a head
$125.00 1st
$75.00 2nd
20 player event... 400.00 at $20 a head
$200.00 1st
$125.00 2nd
$75.00 3rd
A note of caution, this event is not for the ill of heart, its for those big dogs that can back up their bad ass game in a $20 event and not cry about it.. unlike those events that back their game with a 5 dollar cracker!
Its a very brutal event, because players don't get bumped out till the final few untill finals.
