Join us at the Balloon Inn for the Monday Night Rookie Draw.
Last night paid out 200%. That happens occasionally (three times since Thanksgiving), but so far I have not announced it on ColoradoFoosball.com.
I prefer to support my loyal rookies and beginners who play on a regular basis.
They deserve to have the best Rookie Draw that Colorado can provide for them.
It is my understanding that Colorado foosball players actually DO WANT to provide opportunities for new foosball players to learn how to play foosball. New players are the lifeblood of the sport. If we don't encourage any new players, our beloved little sport will slowly die with us as we get older.
I ask ALL Colorado players to support the Monday Night Rookie Draw at the Balloon Inn. We have been running for a year and half and have NEVER missed a Monday night tournament.
If you are ranked higher than Rookie, I congratulate you. Just mention us to the Rookies and Beginners that you know, we are a great place to start. If you are out at the bar pounding on the bar players, please mention the Rookie Draw to them.
Please help me to build up the Colorado Foosball community by bringing in new players to the sport that we all love.

I don't see how you can say CO players don't want rookies to thrive? I think it's great you're doing that - we need to keep the player base growing. It's hard these days to bring in new players, or keep new players interested.
How many players/teams are you getting there each week on average, Doug?

Scott, I never said that Colorado foosball players do not want to rookies to thrive.
What I said was "It is my understanding that Colorado foosball players actually DO WANT to provide opportunities for new foosball players to learn how to play foosball."
If you think it is so great that I have been running the Rookie Draw for a year and half, and if you think we need to keep the player base growing, and if you think that it is difficult to bring in new players and keep them interested, then I am sure that you will want to do everything in your power to help my promotional efforts that benefit ALL OF US.

I've never been to the Balloon Inn, but the way you describe the tournament it seems really cool. If you are not already, I would definitely promote this on Facebook where information can spread like wild fire. I've talked about this tournament several times with some beginners I play with at work. I'm not positive what keeps them away, but I think it's due to the location and the day of the week. I just can't imagine you're going to find casual beginner players looking for a foosball tournament on a Monday night. Maybe Davin was able to make it work because his location was on a college campus where there are plenty of kids to draw from. Is there anyway you can do this on a Saturday night?
