The Beginner/Rookie foosball tournament paid out over one hundred dollars in cash to the winners as follows:

First Place ($50) Josh Young and Bruce Landers.

Second Place ($35) Joey Hays and Don Dowling.

Third Place ($20) Rob Trout and Mark Brubaker.

(Note that the winning player in third place was NOT Mark Brubaker Jr., who would not be eligible to play in a rookie draw because he is a pro.)

We set another new attendance record for the Rookie Draw, so the money at next week's Rookie Draw has been upped again (We have upped our standards, so now up yours!)

The Rookie Draw on March 7th, 2016 is now guaranteed to pay out $150 (ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTY DOLLARS).

He's playing down to the level of the competition, so when Nick and I beat teams at Bonfire, we're not getting better, y'all are getting worse! :p

Btw, way to go Jim winning as a goalie one week, and cashing as a forward the next.

Who else (from the regulars) can do that regularly. Short list.

Roger
Baller
Boogie

Nick
Jim
Joey
Sherm

I let Gavin take over at forward last week for the second half of the night so he cashed as forward and goalie. Add him to the list! :)

tough competition and lots of new players at the Rookie dyp. Josh played great and double dipped my partner and i. There are so many more new players coming to dougs tourney ots awesome. I feel they need that instruction before hand like davin camp was. Hopefully we can figure something out for "clinics" before tourney if they signed up in advance maybe some players would come to show some proper stances and shot techniques. I have no problem doing this but these are my peers and doubt the direction would be taken as seriously.

food for thought.

And if we can get this going or give it a try first they would need to sign up to not waste anyones time. second i think they need a structured clinic none of this "i want to learn this....what happens when...." type of setting. Just an if you are here for the clinic this what youre learning and will be practicing today. They need the meat and potatoes and can get the veggies, bread, apps, and desert later.

I would be willing two days a month to teach the same way davin taught me: stance, set up, grip, pull shot

once graduated from that on the two bar then stick wall pass then lane pass.

The bar does own the tables and will not allow free play for clinics as ive talked to doug so if they sign up they would be responsible for quarters for an entire 30min-1hr of drilling. As those of us with tables can imagine this would not be cheap.

But the scene is growing and i feel needs teaching just like i was able to be so lucky to recieve which has now enabled me to beat most of you nerds in a short amount of time on the foosball timeframe.

suggestions would be great

Why do I have a feeling that Nick covers his foosball table at home with
a red and white checkerboard tablecloth.
